Yesudas celebrates 75th birthday in Kollur temple

Kundapur: Popular singer Kattassery Joseph Yesudas famously known as KJ Yesudas visited Kollur Mookambika temple on Saturday January 10 to celebrate his 75th birth anniversary.

Yesudas visited the temple in the morning and rendered Poornahuti in Chandika Homa. He then performed special pooja to the deity. Yesudas sang some of his best devotional songs in the temple premise. Hundreds of people gathered in the temple premise were lost themselves to the mesmerizing voice of the veteran singer.

Yesudas celebrates his birth day in Kollur temple every year; it has turned into a tradition for him. His admirers organize a music concert in the temple every year on his birth day.  On Saturday hundreds of his fans wished him on his birthday.

Speaking on the occasion Yesudas said, “I am a devotee of Kollur Mookambika and celebrating my birthday in the temple since many years. I am a student of music not a master. There is a lot to study in the music field, he added.
