Man falls from house roof, dies in the hospital

Mulky: A person died in the hospital after falling from the house roof. The incident happened in Haleangady on Friday January 9.
The deceased has been identified as Yadava (42) resident of Haleangady. It is said that Yadava climbed a tree in his neighbourhood house to pluck chikkoos (sapota). He kept all the chikkoos on the cement sheet of the house. After plucking all the fruits he got down from the tree and was cleaning his body from ants. Suddenly the cement sheet on which he was standing broke and Yadav fell on the ground. He sustained serious injuries as the pieces of cement sheets fell on his head.
He was rushed to a private hospital in Mangaluru. But after failing to respond to the treatment he died on Saturday morning. A case has been filed in Mulky police station. The body was handed over to the family after postmortem.
