Two separate accidents in one day: Many injured

Kundapur: Many people injured in two separate accidents occurred in Kumbhasi here on Sunday January 18.
In one accident a private bus which was stopped for picking passengers moved without any signal and rammed into a car on the national highway. As a result of the accident traffic was snarled in Kumbhasi-Koravady and Kumbhasi-Gopady highway.
A car collided with a bus near Anegudde temple tower on NH66.
The car was driven by Uttam native of Bengaluru stopped on the highway after visiting Anegudde temple. As a result a bus plying from Udupi to Kundapur rammed into the car. The occupants of the car and the bus sustained minor injuries. But the car was badly damaged in the incident.
Locals gathered at the spot and blamed unsystematic road work for these accidents. They also blamed traffic police for not taking any action to put an end to these kinds of incidents.
