Mangaluru: Lifeguards of Someshwara beach had a stressful day on Saturday January 3 as they saved four lives on the same day.

A group of teachers from Anekal taluk in Haveri visited Someshwara beach after praying in Someshwara temple. They tried to climb the Rudrapade located in the beach. One of the teachers slipped from the rock and fell into the sea. The other two teachers in a desperate attempt to save their colleague jumped into the sea. As the trio was drowning in the high tides of the sea lifeguards came into their protection and saved their lives.

Poornima (32), Geetha (31) and Sanjeevathi (22) were the teachers who cheated death thanks to the lifeguards.

In another incident a couple from Bengaluru who came to spend some good time in the beach had a horrifying time when the lady named Shashi (19) slipped from the huge rock while taking pictures and fell into the sea. Lifeguards jumped into the sea and saved her.
