Anti corruption awareness forum inaugurated at Moodabidri

Moodabidri: It is unfortunate that people thought corruption is a formality. Elders must create awareness among the children about corruption. Determination should be there to eradicate corruption, said Eesha Vittala Swamiji of Shri Kshetra Kemaru Sandipani Sadhanashram.

He was speaking after inaugurating the Anti corruption awareness forum at Moodabidri society hall. Moulana Abdul Darimi who was present as chief guest said, corruption is a complex issue. It is a widespread social evil in the world. Only awareness can eradicate this evil. When people change their mentality corruption can be prevented, he said.

Rev.F. Francis Asis D'Almeda presided over the program. He advised that the anti corruption organisations should not jackboot others. They must work in according to law.

President of Sevadala Praveen R. Kotian, general secretary Narayana Kadalakere and others were present. Hariprasad Nayak welcomed, Jagannath Konaje compered the program. Joint secretary Padmanabha Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.

Mobile court of the senior civil judge inaugurated in Moodabidre

Moodabidre: High court judge and administrative judge of South Kanara, A.N Venugopal Gowda inaugurated the mobile court of the senior civil judge here on Saturday March 14.

Addressing the gathering he said, full-fledged Court of senior civil judge will be formed when the appeals reach 600, presently only 473 appeals are filed annually. Therefore the court will function on temporary basis on Friday and Saturday.

In his presidential speech, Abdul Nazir, High court judge said, within after 34 days of the inauguration of new court building, court of senior civil judges has been sanctioned.

Shivashankar Amaranna, judge of Udupi district sessions court, Mallikarjuna, appointed judge of Moodabidre senior civil court, Satish T, judge of junior civil court were present.

Uma M.G judge of DK district sessions court welcomed, Shweta Kumari hosted the program.

66th branch of Bharat bank inaugurated in Ville Parle

Mumbai: The 66th branch of Bharat bank has been opened at the ground floor of ML spaces in Ville Parle (W) on March 10.

Administrative director of City care hospital, Dr. Dilip Nam Joshi inaugurated the branch by lighting the lamp. Jaya C Suvarna, Exeecutive president of the bank graced the program.

CA I.R Shetty, Treasury of Bantara Sangha, hotelier Raghuram Shetty, CA Ramesh Shetty and many other dignitaries were present.

The locker room of the bank was inaugurated by Pushpalatha N., Director of the bank and ATM was inaugurated by Rohini J Salian, ass. executive president of the bank. All the members of directorial board and staff were present.

The program was compeered by Nityananda D Kotian and branch manager Sunil Gujran.

Newly built village municipal building inaugurated at Badiadka

Badiadka: The newly built office premise of Badiadka village municipal with modern amenities was inaugurated by Kasargod MLA NA Nellikunnu on Wednesday March 4.

Speaking after the inauguration he said, the government has the responsibility of providing service to the people in an expected time frame along with changing demands and increasing population. Hence the government has implemented some programs to use modern technologies effectively and upgrade the system.

Installing CC cameras and other modern technologies will not only help in providing people friendly service but also curbs corruption he said.

President of Badidka village municipal Sudha Jayaram informed that the electronic token system will be introduced for the disposal of various applications from the people. Fully computerized cabins will be provided for every department separately. Along with this a conference hall and the new system is adopted for the entry of physically challenged people into the office she explained.

Kasargod district municipal member Pramila C. Naik, block municipal member Rajani Sandeep, village municipal vice president KN Krishna Bhat, members Mahesh Kumar, Valakkunja, Sushils K Bhat, Soumya, Mahesh, Jhoni and many others were present.

Late Lokayya Shetty circle inaugurated in Ballalbagh

Mangaluru: The Gurji Deepotsava Samiti of Ballalbagh have honoured the freedom fighter, worker’s leader late M Lokayya Shetty by constructing a circle in his memorial. The circle was jointly built by Ballalbagh Deepotsava Samiti and Late M. Lokayya Shetty memorial committee. The circle was inaugurated on Wednesday January 21by MP Nalin Kumar Kateel. A statue of wrestling was also built in the circle which was inaugurated by Chancellor of Nitte University N. Vinay Hegde.

The circle is beautifully constructed with red stone and plants are planted in the middle of it. This circle has enhanced the beauty of the city.

MCC Mayor Mahabala Marla, AJ Shetty, Ajith Kumar Rai Malady, Dr. Vijayprakash, Monappa Bhandary, Ganesh Hosabettu, Sureshchandra Shetty were present.

Bharathiya Mahila Bank inaugurated 40th branch at Mangaluru

Mangaluru: to empower women financially and to get them a gate way to economic sector, Bharathiya Mahila Bank has opened its 40th branch at Mangaluru near K.S.R.T.C. This is the 2nd branch in the state.

District Panchayat CEO Tulasi Maddineni  inuagrated the branch and said women oriented bank will facilitate all and they should make use of it.

Executive Director of the bank, S.M. Swathi inaugurated ATM machine and said bank has special facilities to make women self sufficient, self reliable and financially independent.

Newly formed literary and cultural committee inaugurated at Bunts Sangha Mumbai

Mumbai: Newly formed literary and cultural committee inaugurated on 4th of January at Radhabai .T.Bhandari hall of Bantara Bhawana Kurla(E).

President Karnire Vishwanatha Shetty inaugurated and conveyed his greetings to the committee.

Later he addressed the crowd and said that bunt’s culture is prestigious and one must not forget it. Inter cast marriages must not disrupt our culture he supposed. He praised the help of new secretary, Raveendranath Bhandari.

Pernankila Haridasa Bhat blessed and said that we all came empty handed to the city but we all broght our cultures and sanskar. Bunts have created Tulunadu in Mumbai he said.

Anand.P.Shetty couples were felicitated for their immense support shown towards sangha.

Chief guest of the function, World Bunts Sangha president Aikala Harish said everyone is serving sangha selflessly. He congratulated the sangha for felicitating Anand .P. Shetty.
