`Yuva parivarthana -The change’ festival concludes in Srinivas College

Mangaluru: The two day National Level youth festival of Srinivas Group of Colleges “Yuvaparivarthana – The Change” was held on Sunday, 4th January.

Speaking on the occasion Vinaya Kumar Sorake, Minister for Urban Development Govt. of Karnataka, who was the chief guest of the occasion, said that the contribution of the youth in the development of the country is very important. He stressed that youth should think what they can give to the society rather than what the society has given them. Wealth of our country is youth and activities like Yuvaparivarthana – The Change, will have a good impact on the development of youth.

Nalin Kumar Kateel, Member of Parliament, said that events like Yuvaparivarthana – The Change will help in fulfilling the goals of the youth. He also added that youth should work towards the fulfillment of the Make in India and Made in India goals of the nation. 

A Srinivas Rao, the vice president of the Srinivas Group of Colleges welcomed the gathering. CA A Raghavendra Rao., president of A Shama Rao Foundation and Srinivas Group of Colleges presided over the function. Vijayalakshmi R Rao., Director, Mitra S. Rao., Secretary of the Foundation were present on the occasion.

As part of the event, there was fashion show. Nearly 60 aspiring models walked on the ramp – to win the coveted ‘Campus Princess’ award – which was held for the first time in Mangaluru in a large scale. The top three winners were selected to directly take part in the Miss India contest, which will be organized by Miss India Organisation in association with Fashion ABCD.

Adding up to the high glam quotient, the event was judged by Miss Asia Workd – 2013 Srishti Rana, who made it big in the field of glamour and fashion industry.

Prashasthi K R from Srinivas college of engineering was chosen as Campus Princess 2015 and Prarthana Subramani from Beasant college was adjusted runner up.
