Elephant attack: One cow dead

Siddhapur: A cow died after an elephant attacked it in Battangala village here. The wild elephant attacked the cow when it was grazing near plantation. 

The cow was belonged to villager Damodar. Locals have urged the forest department to give compensation to Damodar as he has suffered a loss Rs.35,000. Forest officer Devayya visited and inspected the spot.
