Finally, Kavoor Sub inspector suspended

Mangalore: After number of protest demanding the suspension of Kavoor police station SI Umesh, district police commissioner Hitenrda has finally suspended the SI. Protesters had alleged that SI Umesh had assaulted Bajarang Dal activist Charan resident of Moodushedde near Vamanjoor without any reason. They alleged that Charan had been tied to a cement pole and was hit with lati fracturing his bones. Bajarang Dal leaders and activists protested infront of the Kavoor police station continuously for two days.

Many political leaders like Nalin Kumar Kateel, Yogish Bhat, Nagaraj Shetty visited the protest site and expressed their support to the protesters. National vice President of BJP B.S Yeddyurappa who had arrived to Mulky also made time to visit Kavoor and urged the authority to suspend the SI immediately. After this development SI Umesh has been suspended.
