Anurag Kashyap turns mentor

Mumbai: Sham Kaushal is Bollywood's go-to guy for mind-boggling stunts with films like Don, Krrish, Kahaani and Kaminey under his belt. Now, his son, Vicky Kaushal, is all set to be launched, not as an action director but an actor in a film being produced by Anurag Kashyap.

Vicky will be seen opposite Richa Chadda in Masaan. It is being directed by Neeraj Ghaywan who was Anurag's assistant director on Gangs Of Wasseypur. Incidentally, Vicky too was an assistant on the same film, which is how he met Neeraj who cast him as the protagonist in his directorial debut.

The film is about two people coping with personal loss and pain. Their shared experience brings them closer as they come of age. Set in Varanasi, the film has been completely shot and is currently in post-production.

Confirming the news, Neeraj told Mirror, "I met Vicky during Gangs of Wasseypur and was certain I wanted him for the role I had visualised."

Vicky has simultaneously shot for another film, the Guneet Monga produced Zubaan which could release first.
