Statue of Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda unveiled in Sullia
Sullia: Union law minister DV Sadananda Gowda unveiled the 6.5 feet tall statue of Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda, the founder President of Sullia Academy of Liberal education on Friday December 26. The statue was created by employees, former employees and old students of the KVG educational institution.
Speaking on the occasion Gowda said, dreaming is very easy but making it come true for the sake of well being of the society is difficult. KVG was successful in achieving this task. His achievements are commendable.
DK Shivakumar state energy minister inaugurated the function. He described Kurunji as the power of Karnataka and said only education and intelligence is not enough for the development of the society it also needs consciousness.
President of Academy of Liberal Education, Dr. KV Chidananda presided over the program. MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA S. Angara, vice chancellor of Mangaluru University K.K Bhairappa and many others were present.
