7 injured as Telangana Deputy CM's escort car hits other vehicles

Warangal (Telangana): As many as seven people sustained minor injuries after an escort vehicle from the convoy of Telangana Deputy Chief Minister T Rajaiah's vehicle got punctured and hit other vehicles at Yashwanthapur village in Raghnathpally mandal this evening, police said.
"The Deputy Chief Minister's convoy was coming towards Hanumakonda, when one of the escort vehicles got punctured.
Due to this, the driver of the vehicle lost control and hit a scooter and other vehicles running ahead," Sub Inspector of Raghnathpally police station said.
It also collided with some other vehicles coming from the opposite direction.
"Seven persons received minor injuries in the incident. They were taken to a hospital in Janagoan, but were later discharged," the officer said.
Two policemen of Raghunathpally police station, G Jaganmohan and K Babu were among those injured. Further investigation into the case is on.
