Drunken policeman falls into trench: Colleagues turn their back

Puttur:  A drunken policeman fell into a trench injuring himself. The incident happened in Salethoor near Vittla. Lokesh, the staff of Karnataka state Reserve Police (KSRP) is the man who was found in a ditch. He along with other KSRP men was deployed at Salethoor as there was a SSF program in the area.

Lokesh had attended the duty on Sunday. After finishing his duty he went to a bar and got drunk. And then while on his way to see his colleagues, he lost his way and went backside of the bar and fell into the trench behind the bar.

Other KSRP staff who came with for duty went to their places after the conclusion of the program. They didn’t bother about their missing colleague. On the next morning locals noticed Lokesh lying in the ditch. They initially feared to take him out of the trench as he told them that he is a policeman. Locals informed the matter to the nearby police station, but then also there was no reply from the station.

Locals finally decided to lift Lokesh, who was not even able to walk on his feet, out of the trench and admitted him to a hospital.  Public opined that when police personnel turn their back to their colleagues, what is the chance of them rescuing the public.
