Karnataka Yatre concludes in Mangaluru: CM lauds efforts of SSF

Mangaluru: `Karnataka Yatre’ organised by Sunni Students Federation (SSF) on October 25 concluded in Mangaluru after covering 20 districts in 9 days.
The yatre (journey) was led by A.P Abubakar Musliyar of Kanthapuram had covered Gulbarga, Bijapur, Bagalkot, Hubli, Haveri, Bellary, Davangere, Shimoga, Uttara Kannada, Udupi, Chikmagalur, Hasan, Tumkur, Bangalore, Ramnagar, Mandya, Mysore, Kodagu and Dakshina Kannada under the theme ‘Respect the Mankind’ to mark the silver jubilee of SSF.
Chief minister Siddharamaiha who inaugurated the ‘Humanistic conference’ praised the efforts of SSF for spreading the message of humanity.
“Everyone in India should fight against terrorism and communalism. Terrorism is a serious hurdle for the growth of nation. We see many people killed in the act of terrorism. Abubaker has condemned terrorist’s activities. All Muslims should unite and fight against terrorism and communalism. Despite the growth in education, terrorist’s activities are increasing which is sad. Terrorism spoils the peace of nation. We will handle terrorism without succumbing to anybody’s pressure. Our motto is to give equal opportunity and equality as per the constitutions of India. Many criticize me for giving the projects for the minority sections which is not right. As a CM, I am carrying out my duty to work for the poor”.
Pejwar Mutt chief pontiff Visweswara Theertha Swamy, Forest minister B Ramanath Rai, Heatlh Minister U T Khader, Urban Development Minister Vinay Kumar Sorake and other prominent social, religious and political leaders, who were present at the programme.
