Mangaluru: `Chalipolilu’ Tulu film which is considered as one of the milestone cinemas of Tulu film industry has added yet another feather on its cap by earning 1.12 crores in just 1000 shows so far. Chalipolilu has proved that even producing Tulu movies can be a profitable business.
If the history of Tulu film industry is considered only a few films have managed to make profit. But no other Tulu film in the past has succeeded in achieving the success Chalipolilu has received. In a time frame of just three weeks Chalipolilu has collected Rs. one crore which itself is a new record in Tulu film industry.
The film is still playing in theaters with house full audience. The comedy drama with social message has created a new generation of Tulu movie fans which is a welcome development for Tulu film industry. Youngsters who often avoid watching tulu movies have seriously fell in love with the movie and they are watching Chalipolilu more than once.
With movie freaks hoping to theatres to watch Chalipolilu the film is all set to run for more than 100 days. The movie has successfully completed third week in PVR in Bengaluru stated in the press release.
