Worker dies as landslips in Padil-Bajal road

Mangaluru: Under bridge construction work going on in Padil-Bajal road has claimed one life after a landslip on Monday night December 1.
The Deceased has been identified as Mangal (22) native of West Benngal. He and other workers were tying the wire around the iron rods when all of a sudden a portion of the mud caved in and slipped on Mangal. He was trapped under the mud and the iron rods. Another worker Ramdev had a miraculous escape from the death.
Although efforts were made to take Mangal out of the heap of the mud, he had breathed his last by then. A case has been filed at rural police station.
