SSF silver jubilee convention on November 2

MANGALORE: The Indian version of IbnBattuta, AP AbubakerMusliyar, 76, of Kamthapuram, will embark on KarnatakaYathre from HazratKhwajaBandaNawazGaisuDaraz, Gulbarga, on October 25 to spread the message of humanity.
The yathre is to celebrate the silver jubilee of Sunni Students Federation (SSF) in Karnataka. His rally will cover 2,100 km and pass 20 districts in nine days to end at a grand humanistic conference at Mangalore on November 2.
Shafi Saadi, convener of the yathre, said the rally with the objective 'respect the humanity' will reach Mangalore on November 2, where chief minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the `Humanistic Conference' at Nehru Maidan. The rally will start from Khwaja Bande Nawaz Dargah on October 25 at 3 pm and go via Bijapur, Bagalkot, Hubli, Haveri, Bellary, Davangere, Shimoga, Uttara Kannada, Udupi, Chikmagalur, Hasan, Tumkur, Bangalore, Ramnagar, Mandya, Mysore and Kodagu districts. It will reach Dakshina Kannada (DK) district on November 2.
BM Mumtaz Ali, convener of the reception committee, said the conference will be attended by religious leaders of all faiths, including Pejawar seer Vishweshateertha, Karnataka Jamiyuthul Ulama president, Ibrahim Musliyar from Bekal, Milagres Church Parish Priest, Rev Fr Valerian D'Souza, among others.
