Man convicted for brutal assault on youth

Udupi: A man was convicted for brutally assaulting a man alleging the victim had stolen machineries from his garage. The district court of Udupi has sentenced two years of rigorous jail and Rs. five thousand fine.

The convicted person is Ashok who was running National Diesel Service garage had assaulted Royal Mascarenhas alleging Royal had stolen some machinaries from his garage. A case had been filed at Brahmavar police station.

As the accusation was proved in the court Ashok was sentenced to serve two years in jail. The court has also ordered Ashok to hand over the amount of the fine to Royal Mascarenhas.
