Mangaluru: District Dpty Commissioner handed over the copies of Supreme Court banning Kambla (racing of bulls) on Friday November 21. Animal welfare organizations have strongly opposed the practice of racing the cattle in the name of Kambla and hitting them with canes.
Kambla is a famous traditional animal sports in South Kanara and Udupi. A series of events were planned to organize from November to February throughout both the districts. But a ban by apex court has saddened the Kambla lovers.
