Desperate lover kills his lady and hangs himself

Udupi,: A man killed himself after murdering a woman in Padubidri here on Wednesday December 17. The murdered woman is said to be killer’s lover. The deceased Naveen Devadiga (40) was a tempo driver. It is said that he fell in love with Tara, an employee in Super market.
Naveen who was separated from his wife wanted to marry Tara. So last week he went to Tara’s house to request her parents to permit him to marry Tara. But it is said that Tara’s parents refused his request and even warned him to stay away from Tara.
This made Naveen desperate and on Wednesday he called Tara to a building near Corporation Bank stabbed and strangulated her. He then hanged himself at the same spot. A case has been filed in Padubidri police station. SP Rajendra Prasad, Padubidri circle inspector and other police personnel arrived at the spot.
