Late V.S Kudva is my role model says Vinay Hegde chancellor of Nitte University

Mangaluru: ‘Late V.S. Kudva, a man with admirable qualities and character who created a revolution in the field of automobile industry and pioneered in the print media. He also played a sterling role in the economic and commercial development of the district by virtue of his exemplary achievements. He has left behind an everlasting legacy and immense goodwill’, opined Dr. N. Vinay Hegde, Chancellor of Nitte University in his address as Chief Guest after the release of the English version of the book titled ‘V.S. Kudva – His Life & Times’ authored by Rtn. M.V. Mallya at a function organised by The Canara Foundation, Mangaluru held at Hotel Ocean Pearl, Mangaluru on 27.11.2014. He revealed that he was fortunate to have been associated with this visionary and admitted that he was his role model and also a Godfather who inculcated the value of time and discipline in his day-to-day affairs. If at all he has acquired some administrative skills he dedicates this to Late V.S. Kudva. He has not spent a single day of his life without remembering this legend, he further added. He also recalled the contributions made by Late Dr. T.M.A. Pai of Manipal.
 
 
 
 
 The General Manager of Syndicate Bank, Manipal Ln. K.T. Rai graced the occasion as Guest of Honour and released the Kannada version of the book authored by Rtn. M.V. Mallya. He commended his herculean task of writing a book on Late V.S. Kudva, who was also a Founder Director of Syndicate Bank which has 3358 branches and provided livelihood for thousands of employees and successfully completed 89 years in customer service and is continuing to record substantial profit year by year. 

 The President of the Canara Foundation Mr. Srinivas Kudva presided over the function and presented copies to the Guests. Past Rotary Dist Governor Rtn. Dr. B. Devdas Rai paid rich tributes to Late V.S. Kudva in his address. Director of Lamina Suspension Products Ltd Mr. B.S. Baliga and Chief of News Bureau of Udayavani Mr. Manohar Prasad spoke on the occasion. The author of the book Rtn. M.V. Mallya was felicitated on this memorable occasion.

 The Secretary of the Foundation Mr. Premnath Kudva welcomed and the General Manager of Canara Workshops Ltd Mr. Ravichandra Rao proposed a vote of thanks. The Dy. General Manager of Canara Workshops Ltd Mr. Umanath Bhat compeered the programme.
