Ebola Virus scanner in Mangaluru international airport soon

Mangaluru: Mangaluru International airport to have Ebola Virus Disease scanner soon. The Airports Authority of India has requested the Union Health ministry to set up thermal imaging scanner equipment to check the deadly Disease (EVD) at the Mangaluru International airport.
Recently a team of Directorate General of Civil Aviation from Bengaluru and Hyderabad had visited and inspected the steps taken to detect Ebola and they were fully satisfied with the measures taken by the authority said MIA director JT Radhakrishna. “Officials are now undertaking screening activities of international passengers based on symptoms and so far no passenger has been detected with the virus or quarantined.” Radhakrishna said in his statement.
