Manchikere: cracks are seen in wells and on land

Udupi: Mysterious incidents have been noticed in Manchikere near Manipal since few months. First the earth cracked few kilo meters five months ago followed by a mysterious loud sound two months back and now cracks are seen in the wells and the earth’s surface once again on Friday December 19.

Local people are scared due to the incident and think something wrong going tom happen in the near future. Cracks been noticed in the well located near the house belongs to Jagadish. Person named Shambu Kunder was residing in the house on rent.

It is said on Friday morning Kunder experienced mild tremours, and noticed cracks around the well in the premises of the house. Large chunks of stones had come off the surface.

Inside the well too, the tremours created cracks all across the wall and left a deep fissure on its parapet. The well has no water.

Kunder immediately informed house owner Jagadish. He informed the matter to the related officers. Udupi tahashildar visited the spot and asked Kunder to vacate the place for the next three days for his safety and said that alternate arrangements will be made for his stay. Experts are expected to reach the spot soon and the reason for the mysterious incidents will be known thereafter.
