Modi mania: Locals rename village as `Modi Nagar’

Surathkal: The residents of Munchur near Surathkal have renamed their village as `Modi Nagar’. Narendra Modi the present prime minister of India has gained popularity not only in India but also in foreign countries. On Sunday evening in a simple ceremony the name of the village was rechristened. Former mayor of MCC Rajani Dugganna, corporator Sumithra, local businessman Satish Munchur and others were present.
