Three thieves including a minor arrested

Mangaluru: Pandeshwar police have arrested three persons including minor who were involved in mobile phone and gold chain theft from a TV channel reporter.
The arrested persons have been identified as Ganesh (29) from Kuppepadavu, Shaikh Mohammed Farhan (16) from Kolya and Mohammed Ashraf (30) from Ullal. Police have also seized a mobile phone and gold chain from the accused.
As per the complaint lodged in Pandeshwar police station, Nagesh, the victim of the theft was sitting on a bench at Balavana park near the service bus stand in Mangaluru when two persons approached him and picked up a quarrel with him without any reason. They demanded Nagesh to part away with his mobile phone. When he declined, they snatched his Samsung mobile phone and also his gold chain worth Rs. 20,000.
Acting on a credible information police under the guidance of Pandeshwar Dinakar Shetty arrested Ganesh Poojary and Mohammed Farhan. Duirng interrogation they had revealed that the gold chain and the mobile phone was sold to Ashraf of Ullal. Police arrested Ashraf and the accused were produced before the court. They were sent to judicial custody.
