Cyber staff molest NRI student

Ullala: A cyber cafe staff tried to sexually abuse a NRI student who came to the cyber in Derlakatte. The accused has been arrested by the police. The arrested person has been identified as Abubakar Siddiq (33) resident of Madani Nagar. The girl was a student of BSc nursing in a private college in Derlakatte. Her native place was Kerala but she was currently living in USA. The girl was staying in Prestige view apartments and the cyber in question was located on the ground floor of the same building.

On the evening of November 18 the girl went to the cyber to complete some project work. Accused who was in the cyber tried to molest her. When the girl tried to scream he allegedly threatened her. She narrated the incident to her roommates and later informed the matter to college principal. Immediately a case was filed at Konaje police station.

The accused was booked under section 354 and 307 and was produced before the court. The girl has been sent to medical test.
