Kasargod: Three youths who were lured with a job in Singapore landed in Singapore jail. C. S Shihabuddin (29) from Choori Battampareya, A. S Hashim (35) from R D Nagar, and M. Mohammed Nawaz (34) from Mogral Puttur in Kasargod had gone to Singapore on June 1, 2014. A businessman hailing from Kasargod had promised them to give employment in his firm.
It is said that the businessman had given a bag to them and asked them to hand over the bag to person waiting outside the airport. When their luggage was checked at Singapore's Changi airport immigration, fake credit cards were found in it. Singapore police had arrested them and sent to the jail.
As there was no hearing from the boys who went abroad for job even after four months, their relatives started inquiring and later they came to know that they were in Singapore jail. Now the families have requested the government to try and get them released.
