Never ending elephant menace in Mandekolu: Valuable crops destroyed

Sullia: The wild elephants have destroyed the crops in the border region of Mandekolu. The elephants which had returned to the woods after creating havoc in the region few days back have again surfaced and made people get into tizzy.
The elephants which entered the plantation of Krishnaprasad near Mandekolu temple on Saturday and Sunday nights and destroyed areca, coconut, rubber and banana trees. The group consists of five elephants and they have taken shelter in Mandekolu. Few days ago these elephants were being chased out of the village by crossing the Payaswini river. But the wild elephants have managed to cross the river and visited the village once again.
