P. G. Students of Economics visited Karnataka Cashew Industry

Puttur: The post graduate department of Economics of St. Philomena College, Puttur had organised an industrial visit for the students to the Karnataka Cashew Industry, Puttur.
The students were briefed about the cashew nut processing unit; they were given insight on drying, pealing, gradation and packaging of the cashew nuts.
The proprietor Mr. A.B Veigas said, “Our country stands first in the world in the processing of the cashews. The cashew nuts we produce have a great demand in the international market.”
This industrial visit was an enriching experience for students in getting live exposure. It was organised under the guidance of lecturers of the department Prof.Dinakar Rao, Prof.Sandhya, Prof. Pradeep K. S.
