Three persons arrested for transporting antlers by CCB police

Moodabidre: CCB police have arrested three persons who were attempting to illegally sell antlers.
The accused have been identified as Mohammed Waseer (22), a resident of Puttige Padavu, Firoz Khan (30) from Narasimha block, Bengaluru and Girish (23) of Chennagiri, Davangere.
The accused were transporting the antlers in a Maruthi Omni car when CCB police stopped them and during inspection antlers were found in the car. The accused were then taken into custody.
CCB police team led Valentine D’Souza had conducted the operation based on credible information that the antlers are being transported in a Omni car from Ubrani in Davangere for sale.
The police seized four pairs of antlers, Maruti Omni, and four mobile phones from the accused. The total value of the seized items is estimated at Rs 5 lakhs.
All the three accused have been handed over to Moodbidri police for further investigation.
