Gold worth Rs. 27 lakhs seized in Mangaluru airport

Mangaluru: The officers of Customs at Mangalore International Airport, on 03.12.2014, seized gold brought in the form of silver paint coated suitcase handle buckle holders, ladies handbag buckles and jeans trouser buttons, totally weighing 1033.000 grams, valued at Rs.27,27,120/-, all of which were kept in a Trolley suitcase.
The accused has been identified as Abdul Gaffoor (44) of Kadappuram, He arrived at Mangaluru International Airport on 03.12.2014 at about 08.10 hrs by Jet Airways from Dubai. Further investigation is under progress.
