Interstate fraudster arrested by Kaup police

Udupi: Kaup Police arrested an interstate frauster on Sunday October 12. The arrested is identified as Sheikh Mohammed Yusuf (38). Sheikh Mohammed Yusuf (38) is a resident of Ucchil fish market. A resident of Ucchila fish market, Yusuf was allegedly involved in many fraud cases in Mumbai, Shimoga and southern coastal areas of Karnataka.

He is accused of stealing Rs 1.15 lakh when he was a driver of Innova car at Shivaji Park Mumbai. He has also allegedly cheated Mohammad Ashfaque of Dodda Pete Shimoga of Rs 2.31 lakh. Abko Silk Company has registered a case against him for cheating to the tune of Rs 50,000. Manjunath Roadlines has also filed a case against him for cheating it of Rs 66,000. There are many more similar cases filed against him. He was arrested and kept in the custody of Shirva police station and has been handed over to Shimoga police for further inquiry.
