Praveen Carlo assault case: Three accused arrested

Mangalore: Police have arrested three persons in connection with the murder attempt on Praveen Carlo a rowdy sheeter at Vamanjoor. Carlo was said to be the accomplice of Underworld goon Ravi Poojary. The arrested have been identified as Shishir Poojary (22), Praveen (22) and a juvenile from Suratkal. 

The accused had attacked Praveen on October 16 afternoon with wooden sticks near Vamanjoor junction. Carlo sustained gruesome injuries on his head and chest and was admitted to a hospital.The reason behind the attack was personnel grudge, police said. The attackers who came in bikes had waylaid Carlo’s two wheeler in Vamanjoor and assaulted him with wooden sticks and fled away from the site. Police have arrested three accused and fourth one is still absconding.
