Speeding car ram in to electric transformer, one injured

Kundapur: A speeding car rammed in to an electric transformer after the driver lost control of the vehicle. The incident happened near M.Kodi here on Sunday morning November 30.

Due to the incident two electric poles attached to the transformers and five supporting pillars have been damaged and as they are still remain unattended people of 7th ward of Kodi are facing electricity problem.
News in detail:

The occupants of the car were returning to Kodi after watching Yakshagana in Shanadi. One of the passengers Rakesh was injured in the incident and was admitted in a private hospital in Kundapur.

As the electric poles and the transformer was completely damaged in the incident the repair work is taking time. The Mescom workers are trying to fix the problem and only around Monday evening the electricity can be restored said one of the Mescom officer.
