Congress leaders fight infront of Mahatma Gandhi statue in Mangalore

Mangalore: Violence broke in a program organized for celebrating the birth anniversary of preacher of non-violence Gandhiji. It was a program in which it was decided to garland the statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Town hall in Mangalore.

MLA J.R Lobo, Vidhana parishat member Ivan D’Souza, district congress acting President Ibrahim Kodijal were present. After garlanding the statue, Ibrahim Kodijal in his address to the gathering explained the principles, discipline and other values adopted by Gandhi.  This enraged some of the congress leaders present on the occasion. There was a reason behind that anger. On Wednesday when CM Siddharamaiah visited Mangalore, Kodijal was denied a pass enter into the airport.

But MLA Lobo got the entry and he welcomed the CM. Angered by this Kodijal took a task of Lobo infront of the CM. On Wednesday Kodijal lost his patience and forgot discipline, but on Thursday he was giving a speech on discipline. This has made congress leaders go wild and they questioned about his morale to speak such words when he himself had broken all disciplinary limits on Wednesday. A tug of war broke between two groups and when it reached to physical assault on eachother, some congress leaders jumped in to the middle and stopped further quarreling. Congress leaders who gathered to pay homage to the ambassador of peace gave some free entertainment to the public who were watching the shameless act of the leaders. It is not only in speech the discipline has to be shown in our life, may be this is the lesson we learn from this incident what say?
