Puttur: In a filmy style abduction case a gang kidnapped a man who was facing the abduction charge of a married woman.
Keerthika (24) is the married woman who is said to be abducted by one Denson. It is said that Denson had come to the city to appear before the court from Bengaluru. While he was sitting inside a Tata Sumo vehicle four persons of whom two were identified as Keerthika’s father Nityananda Vaidya and her husband Giridhar Bhat and two unidentified persons forcibly took Denson away from the court premise.
Denson's father Joseph said in his complaint filed in the town police station here on Monday December 1, that he and his son were waiting to appear in the court in the morning, when the above persons who came in a Maruti car took his son away.
Denson was accused of abducting Keerthika, an engineering graduate. She had married a photographer from the town, Giridhar Bhat. She then got a job in Bengaluru and began working there. It is said that after coming to know about the relationship between Keerthika and Benson at Bengaluru, Giridhar Bhat ensured that she resigned from her job and started living here.
But Denson continued to keep in touch with Keerthika through a friend after she shifted to the town. It is gathered that Denson abducted Keerthika from Kallare here on September 13 this year, and took her to Bengaluru. Although the police tried to trace Keerthika in Bengaluru they did not succeeded.
It is now being widely believed that Keerthika's family would have taken Denson away to extract information about Keerthika's whereabouts.
