Eggs thrown at officers who came to remove the illegal shops

Moodabidre: The officers of Purasabha faced the rage of the people when they were removing the illegal petty shops operating on the footpath and PWD road. The people who protested against the operation threw eggs at the officers. The incident happened on Thursday November 27.
Koragappa, Hanif Alangar, Bahubali Prasad and Prema Salian have pressurized the officers of Purasabha in two monthly meetings to remove the illegal shops inside the city. Hence on Thursday chief officer Sheena Naik along with his team came to the spot for operation.
The team removed a no parking board installed in front of a bar illegally. Continuing the operation the team removed the shops operating on footpaths and seized the items.
Eggs thrown:
The officers removed a fast food counter outside of a hotel. During this a man standing on the first floor of the hotel threw eggs on the officers. Excise inspector Dhananjay, Health inspector Indu and other officers were present.
