Dangerous black stone quarry in Palli Madmalpade

Karkala: Locals of Madmalpade in Palli village furious about the black stone quarry operating the village which is creating problem to the lives of humans and animals. The quarry in question belongs to one Vijaya Shetty in survey no. 178/8 of Palli village. As high intensity explosives are used to blast the rock it’s pieces slam into the houses and lands. As children, women and men walk on the road which is located close to the explosion site, there is danger to human lives also said locals.
The roads her have completely destroyed as overweight Lorries carrying black stones pass through this road. As locals explained the problems caused by mining with the related people they have threatened with dire situations. A case has been filed in Karkala police station regarding the matter. Locals warned of a huge protest if the quarry is not shut down.
