Two teenagers beaten black and blue for raping 9-year-old girl

Mysuru: In an incident which took place at Hudco Colony here on Thursday November 6, two teenagers who allegedly raped a girl, were hit with cudgels, before policemen came on the scene and took them away.

The prime accused is alleged to be 17-year-old and his accomplice 14-year-old. The two run a mobile phone repair shop in Hanumanthanagara.

The victim is a nine-year-old girl, who happens to be a third standard student of the government Urdu lower primary school.

After the girl complained of acute abdominal pain, her foster father took her to a private clinic on Thursday. The doctor, who examined the girl, confirmed that she had been raped. Thereafter, the girl revealed the names of the offenders.

The neighbours then joined together and thrashed the two accused by tying them to an electric pole. The policemen of Narasimharaja station then visited the spot and handed over to the care of Balamandira.

The father-daughter duo lives in a thatched hut in the colony. The foster father of the girl, before going to Bangalore on urgent work on Monday, had entrusted his daughter to the care of a friend. The boys had posed life threat to the girl if she had revealed anything about the incident.

One of the accused works as a labourer, while the other is a eighth standard student. Both were injured because of the thrashing they received.

The girl's father is said to be an alcoholic who does not take proper care of her. She had lost her mother recently. Police are further investigating the case.
